Below is a list of some frequently asked questions (F.A.Q.) we have been asked. If your question isn’t answered below reach out and ask through out Contact page and we’ll respond quickly. Maybe you question will be added to the growing F.A.Q. list!

Do you start with new garments?

Our items are all upcycled. That means we start with previously loved items (i.e. shirts, pants, etc.). We pick our items and all the embellishments we use with great care to find the best quality. As we sew new life into these garments, there may be areas we leave untouched to preserve their vintage appearance and appeal. These are not to be considered defects in the product or workmanship. With this mind, please review our return policy before placing your order.

There are multiple care tags, which instructions should I follow?

The original garment may have a care instructions tag but these instructions are no longer valid as we have added embellishments to the clothing which makes the garment require a different level of care.

You should follow our care instructions and hand wash in cold, hang to dry.

How should I wash my garment?


All of the garments we sell should only be hand washed in cold, and hung to dry. Washing them inside out is recommended. A cool iron press (low heat) can be done if needed but avoid ironing fabrics with ironed on designs and do not iron over iron on embellishments. 

Why should I hand wash?

We recommend hand washing because of the varying fabrics we use and because of the added embellishments such as buttons, beads, and bows. These items can snag in the machine or on other garments risking damage to the garment.

What detergent do you recommend?

We recommend hand washing with Woolite® Delicates or a similar product.

Why do you leave the original care instructions on garment?

We leave the original tags because we want to give credit where credit is due. After all, we didn’t make the base garment and you may want to know who did or the country it was made in. There isn’t much we can do if the tags are removed or faded when we acquire the base garment but if it exists we leave it. Just remember to follow the care and washing instructions on OUR tag.
